South Summit Brazil: Unprecedented actions for women

South Summit Brazil: Unprecedented actions for women

South Summit Brazil 2024 announces unprecedented actions for women

Female entrepreneurship is highlighted in the SheLeads Startups initiative, a business round between startups founded by women or with women entrepreneurs, in addition to holding the first meeting between leaders and promotional action to purchase tickets.

The fact that women are increasingly occupying leading positions and roles in companies and business ecosystems is nothing new. Held in the month dedicated to women, the South Summit Brazil 2024, which takes place from March 20th to 22nd at Cais Mauá, in Porto Alegre, has already confirmed a powerful team of women.

Among the speakers at the event is Denise Hills, one of the main Latin American references on the ESG theme and a pioneer of the UN Sustainable Development Goals. The list of female leaders at the event includes: Aleksandra Ristovic (AirBnb), Ana Cabral-Gardner (Sigma Lithium), Ana Martins (Atlantico), Andiara Petterle (independent advisor), Anita Fiori (Bid), Camila Junqueira (Endeavor), Gabriela Cirne Lima (Malwee), Gabriela Comazzeto (Tik Tok), Iris Parra (Enlaza), Lorice Scalise (Roche), Luana Ozemela (IFood), Mariana Pincovsky (Porto Digital), Milena Oliveira (Volpe Capital), Nancy Wang (Advanced Women ), Paola Santana (Glass), Patrícia Moraes (Unbox Capital) and Paula Ganem (NY Stock Exchange).

It is no coincidence that the 3rd edition of South Summit Brazil 2024 chose today (8/3) – International Women’s Day – to officially launch some actions aimed at women. The date also coincides with the reopening of the Vânia Araújo Machado Women’s Reference Center (CRMVAM), an initiative of the state government of Rio Grande do Sul. CRMVAM is a state reception network linked to the Department of Women’s Policies. Among other functions, it provides systematic assistance to women with the support of Courts and Police Stations, and monitors councils and policy coordinators for women.
