Global Health, Local Innovations MedTech for a Better World

20th-22nd November 2024

Andhra Pradesh MedTech Zone in collaboration with the International Association of Science Parks, is hosting and inaugurating India’s first IASP Asia Pacific Division event Vizag, India-2024, themed “Global Health, Local Innovations: MedTech for a Better World.” This groundbreaking event will explore how local MedTech innovations can address global health challenges and drive positive change.

ABOUT AMTZ:
The Andhra Pradesh MedTech Zone (AMTZ) is India’s leading medical technology park, featuring advanced manufacturing and scientific facilities, including specialized laboratories and testing centers for electromagnetic compatibility, biomaterials, 3-D printing, lasers, MRI superconducting magnets, gamma irradiation, and machining.

During the pandemic, AMTZ played a key role by producing over 100 ventilators, 500 oxygen concentrators, and 1 million RT-PCR kits daily. It also developed mobile container hospitals, mobile RT-PCR vehicles, and mobile oxygen plants to reach remote areas.
