Innovation hubs are environments that connect, in the same physical space, different actors, such as startups, entrepreneurs, researchers, companies, investors, educational institutions and governments, offering resources for their development. Among the main benefits of being part of a hub is the proximity that encourages collaboration, the creation of businesses, innovative products and services, the attraction and retention of talent and investments.

Hub Aliança has this same personality. The “home of innovation in Norte Gaúcho” is a mill of ideas that fosters collaboration between people, connects and generates innovation through business throughout the north of Rio Grande do Sul. A fertile environment for connecting leading companies in their segments and that will act together, through creativity and entrepreneurship, to transform knowledge into business.

Positioned in a privileged location – at Avenida Sete de Setembro, 496, close to Parque da Gare, in the center of Passo Fundo – the revitalized structure of an old mill covers 1,800 m², four floors with coworking and meeting rooms, an auditorium for up to 100 people, lounge, cafeteria, internet area, private parking and monitored security.

The investment is led by the Siloinvest group, which has contributions from nine companies investing in the project: Atitus Educação, Coprel, Cotrijal, ECB Group, Farmácias São João, JL Participações, JR Comércio de Cimento, Metasa and Una Construtora. Innovation programs, startup acceleration, collaboration between startups and large companies, in addition to getting closer to investments and strategic partnerships are some of the actions that will take place in the space.

The venture will also be the stage for fostering ideas and global discussions about innovation. The auditorium, located on the second floor, is the space for corporate events, panels, workshops and business model presentations between entrepreneurs and investors, promoting connections and networking.

Just like Instituto Caldeira, in Porto Alegre, Hub Aliança is the second in Rio Grande do Sul to be revitalized in a historic building. The development in the north of Rio Grande do Sul comes after the renovation of an old mill, installed in the 1930s, which symbolizes the historical development of Passo Fundo. Starting in December, after nine months of construction, the space represents a moment of regional transformation for the future through innovation.
