Eva Saúde is the winner of the Battle of Startups at Gramado Summit 2024

Competition is held in partnership with the Ventiur accelerator and awarded the winner with R$ 200 thousand

In another edition of the Gramado Summit, through a partnership with Ventiur Smart Capital, a startup accelerator, the Battle of Startups was held, a competition with the aim of selecting the startup most prepared to receive funding and an acceleration process . The company Eva Saúde emerged as the winner of the competition with an investment of R$ 200 thousand from Ventiur.

The startup works to promote access to healthcare for pregnant and postpartum women, providing knowledge and connection with multidisciplinary teams. Eva Saúde is a digital platform that shares quality content, based on scientific evidence, made by professionals who work in the maternal and child area.

During the competition, which has an eliminatory nature, Ventiur’s panel of judges and guests evaluate requirements such as what problem the competitor’s business seeks to solve and its relevance to its target audience; the size of the market, your competitors and the differences between your business and them; the validations carried out to date, mainly related to sales and billing; where the team is and where it intends to go with the investment; the use of the investment and, finally, what experience the partners have that proves that they are capable of making the investment pay off.

All of these requirements are assessed through a pitch presentation, which must be in accordance with the instructions at each stage of the journey. Startup Battle pitches last five minutes and are subsequently subject to questions from investors. There were 20 startups selected for the in-person phase of the competition, which took place over the three days of the event.

Especially this year, the accelerator had dozens of startups signed up for the battle. Among the presentations that took place over the three days of the event, three were selected for the final: Eva Saúde, Data4Company and Edupulses.

Sandro Cortezia, founder of Ventiur Smart Capital, reinforces that the partnership with Gramado Summit is long-standing and positive for both businesses and the entire ecosystem. According to him, since the first editions of the event, Ventiur has been supporting by conducting the Battle of Startups, enabling investments in the best startups in the program.

“For us it’s super cool because it’s an opportunity to meet a lot of good entrepreneurs, good startups that are here and it ends up being an interesting funnel, and for startups too, right? Because at the end of the story they have an effective possibility of not only to show your solution to the many people who are hanging out at the event, but also to receive the investment”, highlights Sandro.

“We received a lot of positive feedback from startups. This year we also had really cool content on our stage, the stage was filled with content, with our partners. This also added value for the startups that were there participating in the Battle of Startups. In the coming years, we hope to make even more investments possible for startups, generate more impact and more business at Gramado Summit, which is an event that is expanding and growing more and more, gaining more and more relevance, not only nationally, but also internationally”, adds Gabrielly Balsarin, Head of Acceleration at Ventiur Smart Capital.
