Jorge Gerdau, president of the Superior Council of the Competitive Brazil Movement (MBC), participated in the opening of the 2024 Competitiveness Forum, held in Brasília (DF). The event brought together leaders from the public, private sector and civil society to discuss crucial issues related to the country’s development. During the event, Gerdau emphasized the role of digital transformation as a crucial factor in making Brazil more competitive globally. He placed topics such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), the future of work and the possibilities that new technologies bring to improve the relationship between governments and society at the center of the debate. Furthermore, the businessman addressed simplification and reduction of the tax burden as essential elements to improve the business environment in the country. Digital technologies, according to Gerdau, modernize processes and significantly reduce costs and working time.
